I’ve been making this at least once a week for the past month!

This decadent dessert brings together the rich flavor of chocolate brownies with a self-saucing, gooey fudge center. The “magic” happens as it bakes—the brownie layer forms on top while a luscious hot fudge sauce develops underneath, thickening slightly as it cools.

👩🍳 How To Make Hot Fudge Brownie Bread (Magic Fudge Brownies)
Step 1: Preheat Oven & Prepare Dish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Brownie Batter
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, ½ cup cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate large bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until combined.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Step 3: Create the Fudge Center (The Magic!)
Evenly sprinkle the brown sugar and ¼ cup cocoa powder over the top of the brownie batter.
Slowly pour the boiling water over the entire surface—do not stir.
Step 4: Bake
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
Step 5: Cool & Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
The fudge sauce will be soft and runny at first but will thicken as it cools.
Serve warm and enjoy the rich, molten goodness of Hot Fudge Brownie Bread!
