Butterfinger Balls
Ingredients
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Softened butter | 4 tablespoons (½ stick) |
Vanilla extract | 1 teaspoon |
Chocolate bark or chocolate chips | 8 ounces |
Crushed Butterfinger bars | ½ cup |
Powdered sugar | 1 cup |
Peanut butter (not all-natural) | 1 cup |
Graham cracker crumbs | ¾ cup |
Optional Garnishes: extra crushed Butterfinger bars, sprinkles, or coarse sea salt | As desired |
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and softened butter. Beat with an electric or stand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar, blending on low speed and scraping down the sides as needed. Gently fold in the graham cracker crumbs and crushed Butterfinger pieces until evenly combined.
2. Shape & Chill:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop about 1 to 1½ tablespoons of dough for each ball and roll until smooth. Arrange them on the prepared sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes, or until firm.
3. Melt the Chocolate:
Once the balls are chilled, melt the chocolate bark or chips in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring between each burst until smooth. Avoid overheating.
4. Coat and Decorate:
Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, fully coating it (or leave a small portion exposed for contrast). Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with crushed Butterfinger bits, colorful sprinkles, or a touch of coarse sea salt, if desired.
5. Final Step:
Allow the chocolate to harden completely before serving. To speed things up, place the tray in the freezer for a few minutes.
Storage Tip:
Keep the Butterfinger Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Creamy, crunchy, and irresistibly chocolatey—these little bites are guaranteed crowd-pleasers.
