🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Prep Pan and Melt Butter
Grease a 9Ă—9-inch pan. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until fully liquefied.
Step 2: Mix Oats
Stir in the brown sugar and vanilla extract. Add the oats and cook on low for 2–3 minutes, stirring until everything is well combined.
Step 3: Form Crust
Press half of the oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to create the base. Set the remaining oat mixture aside for later.
Step 4: Prepare Chocolate Layer
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips with the peanut butter, stirring constantly until smooth and combined.
Step 5: Assemble and Chill
Pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the oat crust and spread evenly. Crumble the reserved oat mixture on top, pressing lightly. Cover and refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or overnight, until firm.
Step 6: Serve
Bring the bars to room temperature before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
