My nana used to make this all the time, and I finally found a recipe that trumps hers!

This Frito Pie takes the beloved fairground favorite and turns it into a cozy, layered casserole. A crunchy Fritos base meets a rich layer of chili, all smothered with gooey cheddar cheese and baked until perfectly bubbly.
Frito Pie
Ingredients:
- Fritos corn chips – 1 large bag
- Canned chili (15 oz) – 2 cans
- Shredded cheddar cheese – 2 cups
- Diced red onions – ½ cup
- Sliced jalapeños – ½ cup
- Sour cream – for serving
- Diced avocado – optional, for serving
Instructions:
1. Prep and Layer: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread half of the Fritos across the bottom.
2. Add Chili: Pour chili evenly over the Fritos.
3. Cheese Layer: Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the chili.
4. Top It Off: Add the remaining Fritos on top of the cheese, then cover with the rest of the shredded cheddar.
5. Bake: Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
6. Serve: Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm. Garnish with red onions, jalapeños, sour cream, and avocado if desired.
